Under Lock and Key: The Experiment, a Psychological Thriller by Robin Geesman

A scientist attempts to massacre his family in an insanity driven murder/suicide.

The surviving family is rescued via SWAT Team and rushed to the hospital where they remain comatose despite vigilant medical intervention.

Because of their condition, they are chosen for an experimental government program meant for warfare, interrogation, and espionage, because this computer generated program also has the capacity to improve their quality of life by linking into their comatose minds and creating a virtual reality where family from the real world can interact with them again.

Heartwarming, until a family member of a newly added patient inadvertantly threatens to expose the program.

The scientists worry he’s beccoming a risk to national security.

And that is when Gregory Hewitt becomes the example of the true nature of the program as they attempt to drive him insane.
